History
KQTY first signed on the air as KHUZ 1490 on January 9, 1947 as Borger's first radio station. Today, KQTY has expanded to include an FM station, and we are the only stations physically active in Borger and Hutchinson County.
Technical
KQTY FM 106.7 broadcasts 24 hours a day with 6000 watts of power. TalkRadio 1490 also broadcasts 24 hours a day with 1000 watts of power.

KQTY FM 106.7 features "Today's BEST Country! Our music spans from today's hottest country hits to the favorites you know and love. Other daily and weekend programs feature Texas Country and Southern Gospel music (see the sidebar on the left for the schedule).
TalkRadio 1490
TalkRadio 1490 offers entertaining and compelling hosts and programs around the clock. Our daily lineup includes Dennis Miller, Dennis Prager, Jerry Doyle, Phil Valentine and Rusty Humprhies. Find our complete schedule here.
Sports
Both FM 106.7 and TalkRadio 1490 feature Borger High School sports throughout the year. In addtion, TalkRadio 1490 features other live sporting events, including NFL Football and the Super Bowl, Major League Baseball with the World Series, and the BCS College Football Bowl Series. On weekends, enjoy Outdoors This Week, Road and Track Speed, Car and Driver Radio and Motor Trend Radio.
FM Personalities
KQTY FM 106.7 is one of a handful of stations in the Texas Panhandle featuring live and local programming all day, every weekday. Each weekday morning at 6, George Grover hosts his long-running morning show. It's full of music and information and is always family-friendly.
At 9 a.m., George is joined by Danny Ray for The Classifieds, where listeners can buy, sell and trade just about anything.
Danny goes solo at 10 a.m. on Texas Country Lunch, three hours of Country's next-generation hitmakers from Texas and Oklahoma.
Sunday Mornings, Jerry Smith, another KQTY veteran, plays Southern Gospel hits and favorites from 6:30 to 10:45 a.m.
